NBN
National Broadband Network (NBN) is an Australian broadband network built on fibre optic, fixed wireless and satellite infrastructure – providing a high-speed and consistent internet service. This is being rolled out and administered by NBN Co Limited. It aims to replace existing copper cable telephony network and meet the growing demand for internet access.
It provides services on its local access network on equivalent terms to all Retail Service Providers (RSPs), to provision for end-user needs. This is intended to level the playing field in Australian telecommunications, creating real and vibrant competition within the industry and providing choice for consumers.
