What’s the threat?
DDoS threats come in many forms, but by far the most common is a Volumetric attack where devices on the public internet are hijacked to overwhelm a specific target. These attacks can cripple the internet access to an organisation – freezing web, email and internet interactions. And traditional security devices such as firewalls, switches and routers simply cannot cope.
How we can help.
We operate a DDoS Threat Detection service that detects DDoS activity and puts in place a manual process to reroute the threat away. For those more serious about DDoS and the potential risks it can have on your business, we also offer a DDoS Scrubbing Service. This takes place when an attack is detected by our advanced network sensors, and the malicious DDoS source traffic is discarded in the global region where it originates from. It’s powerful too, with up to 100Gbps of combined network scrubbing capacity.

Wherever the threat comes from – we’re ready. when DDoS activity is detected in any of the 3 global regions (USA, ANZ and Asia) the localised scrubbing centre in the region closest to the source of the malicious activity kicks in, and mitigates the traffic from reaching across international networks. The result? It diverts the nasty traffic away from the Secure Internet Gateway (SIG), whilst letting the good stuff in.
